Who is Elizabeth Winchester?

Elizabeth Winchester is a journalist and businessperson whose work has appeared in The Loyola Phoenix, “Rambler Radar,” and on YouTube.

​

Winchester interned with the LGBTQ+ nonprofit organization PFLAG National, where they worked closely with social media and even spearheaded the restart of PFLAG’s TikTok account. Winchester also worked on countless campaigns, such as Read with Love and Lead Like Jeanne. They participated in the annual review of PFLAG’s glossary and contributed new terms and definitions to help explain popular terminology within the LGBTQ+ community.

As a recent graduate of Loyola University Chicago, Winchester has two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Management and Multimedia Journalism. As a student, Winchester immersed themselves in Loyola’s School of Communication campus activities, including the award-winning student-run newspaper The Loyola Phoenix and the weekly sports broadcasting show “Rambler Sports Locker.” They were also a member of the on-campus organization Women in Business and Loyola’s Beta Rho chapter of the National Communication Honor Society, Lambda Pi Eta.

 

As a creative individual, Winchester has eight years of classical training on the violin and three years of vocal training. Winchester also worked closely with their high school theatre program and was in leadership positions that included Stage Manager and Student Director. In addition, Winchester is an avid reader and writer, and one of her stories took first place in an online writing competition.

 

Winchester resides in Downtown Chicago and works part-time as a Bath and Body Works sales associate at the Water Tower Mall. She is looking to use her degrees and explore new opportunities.
