Humans weren’t the only ones affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Humans weren’t the only ones affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic. When the doors of society closed and everyone was forced inside, our pets suffered as well. No more trips to the dog parks where they could run free and sniff a fellow canine. No more happy run-ins with neighbourhood dogs. No more ability to run free, as humans were scared to come within six-feet of another person.

But then a wonderful thing happened: people remembered nearby parks. They discovered a safe way to interact with others while still being safe. And the best part about it? Their pets were able to once again run around and meet other canines.

So, here’s your friendly reminder to visit your local park today. For those living in the downtown Chicago area, Lake Shore Park is an amazing park that offers a large plot of grass for pets to run around. As well as a playground for those with young children that wish to rediscover the outdoors that some of us forgot during our three years of quarantine.

But Lake Shore Park isn’t the only park downtown. Investigate the Google Map below to find your nearby park!
